A 3-year doctoral position is available at TUM with starting date not later than 1.10.2021 (or earlier), in association with Professor Gero Friesecke, TUM Department of Mathematics, and Professor Ors Legeza, Visiting Hans Fischer Fellow at TUM Institute for Advanced Study.
The topic of the PhD will be tensor network methods for the simulation of correlated quantum systems.
Successful applicants will hold or are about to complete a Masters in mathematics or physics, and will have some background in both computational mathematics and quantum many-body physics, and a strong track record in one of these fields.
